Great location for our trip. Nice sea wall for docking the boat. Good afternoon shade in the backyard for cleaning up after being out on the boat all day. Easy access to ocean side or gulf. Close to all the great restaurants of Marathon. Nice canal view from dock for evening drinks. Convenient boat ramp just a couple blocks away. Owner answered all questions in a timely manner. Would stay here again.

This place was very comfortable, clean, well stocked with everything that you need on vacation. Great yard, well kept, good central location. 👏 Good people to deal with. Thanks for helping make a great vacation.

The owner was helpful and responsive. A nice 15 minute canal ride to the ocean and the house was clean and close to amenities. A great stay.

My family and I stayed at John’s waterfront place in Marathon. Super easy to get to by car as its right off US1. Deep water canal that comfortably fit our 25ft boat. It was about a 20min idle out to open water with restaurants, fuel docs, etc on the way. There was plenty of parking too (we fit the boat trailer, car trailer, two SUVs and a Truck)! The house was well stocked with items included in the listing, the only thing we didn’t have/couldn’t find were dishwasher tabs. That was no big deal considering publix & Walgreens were both within walking distance. Huge perk that this place is pet friendly too! The home was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our time there – especially for fishing and enjoying coffee on the dock. We even had a few manatee visits and saw tarpon rolling in the canal.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. John was very helpful and made check-in/out an easy process. The house was set up with everything we could have needed for the week and more! We were able to park our boat outback with easy access to the Gulf or Atlantic. All the neighbors we met were super welcoming. They even gave us tips for fishing or places to eat. Speaking of.. the Conch Cafe, local deli, and a few others were less than a 5min walk that we frequented during our time there. By the end of the week we knew the people at the marina, Berdines, neighbors, and the dry dock down the street. A truly wonderful vacation that felt like home.

John was so helpful with our booking and throughout our stay, the property was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. Definitely plan on returning!

This Quaint home has all the amenities that we required. Very close to the Gym, grocery store, Sombrero beach. Many great places in Marathon we were hardly in the house! Thanks to John the owner

Found this house no problem, host pretty much spell everything out. Arrived at an approaching storm so the cable/wifi went out. John was very helpful as you can’t control the weather. Everything was restored later that same night. Pictures are very accurate. Loved the screened porch the most. Made very good use of the washer/dryer after out long trip. My husband spoke to John who was very informative about area restaurants, neighbors and our dog. I loved the main bedrooms furniture, so antiquey! we also spent a few HH’s sitting on the outdoor patio just enjoying the water and boat traffic. This is a great place with the fenced in yard should you be traveling with your dog as we did. It can get a bit noisy with the industry across the street, keep that in mind, did not having any trouble sleeping tho. Dog got a bit freaked out but she is crazy anyway. Would definitely stay here again.

Reef Retreat was perfect for our family! Great location and easy to get to. Clean and had everything we needed. We hope to be back!!

Property was as described and more, central location, easy access to the water, very clean, well maintained, very straight forward communication and great tips. We really enjoyed this place and the comfort of your home. Thanks again for being a great host.
